Salmon Fish Fry

Salmon is one of the healthy and most nutritious sea fish rich in omega-3 fatty acids EPD and DHA just like cod fish varieties. Salmon is also rich in B vitamins like B12, B6, B3 etc and good source of protein & potassium. Salmon is a fatty delicious fish and very much filling. Wild salmon is the healthiest variety of salmon fish. Cooking time is very important to get a juicy and tender salmon. Salmon can be easily overcooked and becomes hard & dry.

Ingredients

  • 1. Salmon Fillet - 1 slice
  • 2. Capsicum Red, Green and Yellow - one handful each
  • 3. Broccoli - one handful
  • 4. Garlic finely chopped - 1 tbsp
  • 5. Ginger Garlic paste - 1 tsp
  • 6. Chilli powder - 1 tbsp
  • 7. Turmeric powder - 1 tsp
  • 8. Lemon juice - 1 tbsp
  • 9. Lemon zest - 1 tsp
  • 10. Pepper powder - 1 tbsp
  • 11. Butter - 1 tbsp
  • 12. Coconut oil - 5 tbsp
  • 13. Carrot, Cucumber & Lemon to garnish
  • 14. Salt as required

Instructions

  • 1. Add Turmeric, Ginger garlic paste, Lemon juice, Lemon zest, and coconut oil. Also, add Chilli Powder and Salt as much as required. Mix together to form a thick paste.
  • 2. Apply this paste all over the Salmon fish and allow it to marinate for about half to one hour.
  • 3. Take your Cast Iron Skillet and add Coconut oil, garlic, broccoli, red, green, yellow capsicum, chilli powder and salt as required.
  • 4. Close with a lid and cook for a minute. Veggies should be crunchy. Avoid overcooking.
  • 5. Add fresh ground pepper and serve on a plate.
  • 6. Grease the Cast Iron Grill pan with coconut oil and place the marinated fish on it.
  • 7. Add 1 tbsp of butter and fresh ground pepper on the fish while turning.
  • 8. Cook each side for about 3 minutes in a low-medium flame, till the fish is nicely roast on both sides. Avoid overcooking.
  • 9. Serve the Salmon Fish fry with Broccoli Capsicum Stir fry.
